Freshmen to start at 8:50 a.m. All other classes begin at 8:00
This year we have a staggered start. Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores begin classes at 8:00 a.m. Freshmen begin classes at 8:50 a.m.

Tracy VanDuinen featured in Chicago Reader's Top 100
On Thursday, June 26th, version of the Chicago Reader, our very own amazing art teacher Mr. Tracy Vanduinen was recognized for the best public art piece in the City of Chicago: his Bryn Maywr mural. Mr. V has completed 4 major murals inside our campus and we are very proud of this new award. Mr. V is also a Golden Apple Award winning teacher and a National Board Certified Teacher.

33% of Social Justice Juniors score a 19 or higher on the ACT
This year's Juniors did extremely well on the ACT. Preliminary results show the school's average at a 17 with 33% of students scoring at a 19 or higher. This is great news for the Juniors first try at this difficult test.

SOJO seniors to ham it up next year!
Social Justice Seniors will have the opportunity to take theater and speech next year. Students will get the fundamentals of theater and speech with a new teacher next year.

College and Career Fair at Social Justice May 9th
Students will have the opportunity to learn about many colleges and careers available to them in the gym. This is the third annual event and promises to be better than ever.

JUNIOR ACT PEP RALLY Friday, April 18th
In order to properly celebrate our Juniors who are about to take the ACT April 23rd, we will have an old-school style pep rally 8th period in the auditorium. All students will be involved. Parents and community members are also welcomed.
